Overview

Copia offers Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using any authentication app such as Duo, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and many more. This provides an extra layer of security to your Copia account.

Configuration

To manage your user settings, navigate to the Dashboard and click the teal Settings button on top of your user avatar.

You can also click on your avatar in the top right of the screen and choose the Settings option.

Select the Security section and click on the _Enroll into Two-Factor Authenticatio_n button.

You will be shown a unique QR code. Scan this code with any authentication app (Duo, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any other) to add Copia as an application. The authentication app will also show a 6-digit passcode that you will need to enter into the Passcode field. Press the Verify button to complete setup.

Once your account is successfully enrolled for 2FA, you'll be presented with a scratch token. It's important to store this scratch token in a safe place; you will need it to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.

If you lose your scratch token, you can generate a new token by clicking on the Regenerate Scratch Token button.

Usage

When your account is 2FA-enabled, you will be prompted for a 6-digit passcode each time you log in. Simply open your authenticator app, enter the shown passcode, and click the Verify button.

If you've lost access to your authenticator app, you can use a scratch code to login.
